Dog Agility Coaching

Central Oregon, Online and Beyond

Why Vivid Blitz?

Vivid (adj): producing a strong or clear impression on the senses.

Blitz (noun): a sudden, energetic, and concerted effort, typically on a specific task.

Dog agility is a sport that requires the handler and dog to have a strong understanding of the obstacles and be as dynamic as possible on and off course. It is my goal as your coach to help achieve both of those skills!

The Dogs Who Made Me

GOB
The dog who started it all with a free lesson In 2011. He allowed me to fail and would keep going with all my bumbling around to learn agility skills. Eventually I stopped running him because his heart wasn't in it.

KURT
The hardest dog to train. Kurt made me learn that timing matters, or else you get bit. He was my first finals dog at a regional event and took me to Cynosport before an early retirement.

AEGON
My first competitive dog. He has a heart of gold, and loves to work. I can ask him to do just about anything, and he takes it all in stride, allowing me to refine timing and skills. We have had a successful career so far and I look forward to what we can accomplish.

SYL
The dog I didn't want, but absolutely needed. She is teaching me about training the dog In front of me. Syl is extremely smart and is hyper vigilant about her surroundings, making training her a new challenge and learning something new every day.

Meet Kari

My career in competitive sports started at an early age where I played on travel softball teams. This is where I learned about making sportsmanship a priority, and putting in the work for excellence. Practice like you play!

This has carried over into my career as a Lifecycle Marketing Manager, USDAA judge, and agility competitor. Since 2011, I have tried to learn as much as I can to grow within the sport of agility, and the goal Is to help as many people I can to reach their fullest potential.

Since spring of 2021, Aegon and I have had success at local, regional and national events -- resulting in 17 podium appearances. Syl has also had a podium appearance.

When not training or competing, you can often find us out on an adventure. The Kelpies and I enjoy hiking, swimming and exploring the vastness of Central Oregon.
